Dr. Susan Lim is a surgeon who works in Singapore. She is well known in the area because she was the first person, male or female, to successfully perform a liver transplant in Asia. That was done in 1990 and in 2003 she founded a biotechnology company which was called Stem Cell Technologies. In 2004, Dr. Susan Lim joined Trinity College at the University of Melbourne, serving as a fellow.

Dr. Susan Lim is a native of Singapore—she attended the Singapore Chinese Girls School and then The Raffles Institution. She believes that education is important to later success in life. As such, Dr. Susan Lim helped to co-found a charity that aims to increase the standard of eduction in the South-Pacific region in small ways.
